Broadband BTOP & BIP 2nd round announced

The second round of both the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP) and the Rural Utilities Service (RUS) Broadband Initiatives Program (BIP) was announced on Friday. Applications will be accepted from February 16th to March 15th for the $4.8 billion available through these American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA) programs. Some changes have been made to the process based on feedback from the 1st round. The American Library Association Washington Office will be studying the Notice of Funds Availability (NOFA) and sharing information as it becomes available.
