House passes resolution honoring National Library Week

On Tuesday, the House passed a resolution honoring National Library Week (H Res 1222).  All of the Maryland Representatives voted for the resolution, except Ruppersberger who did not vote.   See the District Dispatch posting at for more details, including a link to the text of the resolution and the section of the Congressional Record where speeches were made.  (No speeches were made by the Representatives from Maryland.)

It’s a small act, but it’s an opportunity to say thank you and perhaps talk about what your library is doing.  Feel free to use Capwiz to contact your Congressman.
