The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) Amendments Act Reauthorization Act of 2012 passed in the House last week. Ruppersberger (who co-sponsored the bill), Bartlett, Harris and Hoyer voted for the bill, while Cummings, Edwards, Sarbanes and Van Hollen voted against the bill. The bill has now moved over to the Senate. For some background on concerns about this bill, see the Action Alert blog post.
Thank you to everyone who contacted their representatives! Feel free to contact those who voted against the bill to thank them for their support. You can use Capwiz to do this.
