Audit of Open Government Plans shows wide range

Open Government Plans released

US departments and agencies released their Open Government Plans, as directed by President Obama in his Open Government Directive in December.  People are encouraged to read the plans and give feedback. 

Go to this web site to find links to the department/agency’s open government page and read the Open Government Plans, as well as to submit feedback.

The American Library Association (ALA) is also planning to review and provide feedback on the documents.

Obama releases Open Government Directive

On Tuesday, President Obama released the Open Government Directive to bring about transparency, participation and collaboration in the US government.  Among other things, government agencies will need to make information available online via an open government web site.  See the District Dispatch posting for more details, including a link to the Directive.
