Our State Librarian, Irene Padilla, has informed us that the Maryland Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped is having terrible problems with the delivery of materials by the U. S. Postal Service to Maryland’s blind and disabled patrons.
You are urged to contact your State and Federal Senators, Representatives and Delegates to make them aware of this situation.
Please take a few minutes to take action today using this engagement. A sample letter is provided which you may feel free to personalize. The House of Representatives is expected to take action on this issue tomorrow (Saturday, August 22).
